Our Why

Honestly? Just call us instead.

This page is a worse version of a twenty minute conversation. That is sort of the whole point of the place. But some people want to read the thing before they pick up the phone, so here it is, as short as we could make it.

Two guys, one office, no photographer.

Who you would actually be talking to

These two. Every time.

Keith is the principal broker. Contracts, the law, the paperwork most agents avoid, and a phone he answers himself.

Franco runs personal and professional development. Goal setting, habits, accountability, breathwork, and making sure nobody here is carrying something on their own.

No recruiter, no regional anything. Every conversation starts with both of us in the room.

Why we started

We had both been on the other side of it.

Franco started at Keller Williams, then moved to REAL. He started on a team, and eventually went out on his own. The economics got better. The days got quieter. He missed having people around, so he went shopping for a team again, and every one of them wanted 40 to 50 percent of his commission.

That is the trade this business offers. You can have people, or you can keep what you earn. Nobody was offering both.

Keith had already run a big shop, as a partner in a large brokerage. He watched agents turn into numbers on a board and watched himself turn into somebody they heard about instead of somebody they called. The part he actually likes, reading a contract closely and explaining why it matters, does not survive at scale.

So we built the third option. Not a cheap place to park a license and disappear, and not a machine that grows itself on your production.

Mission

We help agents grow and build real estate careers that allow them to build a life they actually want to live.

  • Honest

The truth, even when it has a cost.

  • Present

This moment, wherever we may be.

  • Teachable

Falling is part of the climb to the summit.

Where the name came from

In July of 2017 I broke my leg hiking down from the top of Mount Olympus.

They had to send a helicopter. I spent six weeks in bed with my leg elevated, and somewhere in there it occurred to me that the life I was living was not making me happy. Which made no sense, because I had it all. The family, the house, the job, the freedom. I had it all, and I was miserable.

In the years after, I took my life apart and learned how to live it for myself instead of as a character in other people’s stories. Some of those choices were incredibly constructive. Some were incredibly destructive. All of them were in search of the life I actually wanted.

So I started Olympus Real Estate, named after the mountain where my life changed, in the hope that together we can change the lives of the people we serve.

Franco’s story

“Why can’t you be this person at home?”

Before real estate I was a teacher, and then a school administrator, and I loved it. Loved coaching teachers through the hard parts of their craft, loved watching them grow, loved being around kids all day. It was not a job I was looking to leave.

Then I was asked to become a principal. On paper it was the obvious next step. In reality it meant more hours, more weight to carry home, and less of me left for my own family. I knew what that trade would cost and I did not want to make it.

The moment came at a school carnival. I was assistant principal at Daybreak Elementary, and a crowd of kids spotted me and came sprinting over, thrilled I was there. I lit up with them. My daughter watched the whole thing, turned to me and asked, “Why can’t you be this person at home?”

I was no longer willing to choose between being a great employee and a great father and husband. I needed a way to be both.

I got my real estate license shortly after and left education, though education never really left me. I founded Homes 4 Educators, a nonprofit that keeps me serving teachers by recognizing their efforts both in and out of the classroom. Since then I have built a practice representing clients, and I flip homes as well.

But the thing I am proudest of is the part my daughter asked about. I am present in my own life.

That is also where the other half of my work here comes from. Goal setting, habits, accountability, breathwork, and the harder conversations about showing up fully at home. It is the same instinct that made me good in a school, helping people grow, pointed at the agents here.

Nobody asked me what my hard work was supposed to be building. That is the question I ask everybody now.

Still here?

Family doesn’t charge to be family.

We are here for each other. We want nothing more than for you to live the life you actually want to live, and when you need us, we’ve got your back.

No teams. Just family.

Fifty agents is the ceiling. We keep it small so we can do it right, and so that a page like this is never the main way you find out who we are.
